Nyes & Friends of Sandwich Center Walking Tour

This walk will take place in a part of Sandwich Village that was the social, governmental, and spiritual center of colonial Sandwich. It is also a neighborhood where several interesting Nye families lived over the decades.

Features will include viewing the site of the town’s early meeting house, the Dexter Grist Mill, the Nye Boulder, the homes of Henry and Hannah Nye Belcher, James L. Wesson, and attorney Seth F. Nye and Sally Nye. The tour will conclude at the Old Town Cemetery, the site of the earliest known Nye burials.
